Worldwide portraits 2007

In 2007 I traveled to Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Cuba, China and India. I spent almost six months on the road in total.

During these journeys, I met a lot of people. Some of them I got to know well, as I had the privilege to live with them in their homes. Others were shorter encounters on the route of everyday life.
These people showed me bits and pieces of their beings, defining objects or places that took part of their ordinary life.

A person is defined by their surroundings that, naturally, has a great importance in the construction of identity. The relationship we have with our environment is a part of what makes us human, it accounts for us all and it unites us, no matter in what part of the world we live.
